A3- Ch. 18

Based on what we've read so far, predict what will happen in the end of The Giver.
*If you know what happens write what you would want to happen instead of what does.

I predict that somehow, the Giver will be able to give his memories back to the people, and they will have to deal with it, but they will never have a reciever again.

I think that Jonas will not quit. I think that when he becomes the Giver he will change his little place and give them all the memories.

I think that the Giver is going to die somehow and everyone will receive the memories. Then Jonas can take over and be their leader. Or it could be the other way around-but it would be stupid if Jonas died.

I think that Jonas will find a solution to his problem. With the more info. that he recieves I think that the giver and Jonas will figure out how to escape that town somehow. I think the book will end good.

i think that the giver will die eventually. i mean be released... i think jonas will love his parents very much and then they will be sent to the parent home or whatever that is and jonas will miss them very much and maybe jonas will bring some memory back to some one. maybe

I think that the Giver and Jonas will find a way that the Giver can still have memories. Then he will die peacefully and won't have to be released. I hope this will happen.

I predict that Jonas will some how give his memorys to the whole world and everyone will become normal like us in our community and he will become a hero. Either that or escape.

I think the Giver won't give Jonas all the memories and so there will be some missing and when the Comittee of Elders wants advice he won't be able to give it to them because he doesn't have the memories of a situation like that.

I hope that Jonas and The Giver go to the comitee of elders and will convince them that there shouldn't be a receiver and that the community should have all the good memories and all the bad memories to deal with. Well, maybe not the really bad ones, but they need to know about the good ones and learn how to deal with some of the bad ones.

I think that Jonas is going to find a fault with the system and he is going to change the system back to original way

because if you close the opportunity of bad things happening no good things are going to happen. and Jonas is going to see that life is not worth living if you living like they are.

I don't think Jonas will be so depressed and will be desperate for the feelings and colors that he see's in the memories, and the Giver will die, so Jonas will run away and leave the community, and will go find another community (like the one we live in right now), and will find a girlfriend and live his life and what not, then he'll have kids and stuff, and his kids will grow up and his wife will die of a rare disease, so then he will see that he LOVED his life and was happy he left the community, and will see that he needs to go back and help the community (he left when he was younger)escape, and he will go back and change his old community to like the way we live now, and life will go on...

I already finished the book, but I won't give it away. All I'll give away is that it takes a sudden twist at the end. Also, when it finishes it doesn't feel like it's the end of a book, but more like the end of a chapter - well, for me it did anyway. So yeah...FIN!

I think that Jonas will decide to be the giver and the older giver will sadly die after he gives Jonas his memories.

I think Jonas won't quit, but the giver will tell everyone that wants to know their memories. Then i think he will die and Jonas will have to fill in. :)

Since i have already read the book and i know what happens, i like how it ends and i woudnt change it. It really makes you want to know if there is a second book, and if there is you want to read it.

I think Jonas will tell all the utopia people about the memories like war, because he won't be able to watch them play it day by day like a game. And by the end they will have a normal colorful world.

I think that Jonas will sstart telling more people than just gabe about the memories but then by that time when the elders find out Jonas will have so many memories and have told so many people that they won't know what to do.

I have already read it but in the end i would have wanted the giver to die and Jonas to be able to somehow recover all the memories lost from the giver and make history! :)

I think that someone is going to find out about their plan and they're going to tell someone really powerful and they're going to get in huge trouble.

I think that Jonas will start sharing the memories with more people than just Gabe. Then by the time the elders find out too many people would know. Then every body would get the memories.

I think the giver dies of a heartattack and then jonas doesnt have all the memories and he leaves to go make his own memories and comes back when he is older and he has more memories then they did before.

I think there plan will go all wrong and something bad will happen to them. Like he might have to leave later or early.

I've read this book before so what I wish would have happened is that he would go find a family. Him and Gabriel would live with someone and live happy lives.

I think Jonus should get all the memories he can then when the Giver gets "released" he will share thr memories with everyone.

Before I heard the ending I thought that Jonas would start telling more people about the memories than just gabe. Then so many people would know there would be no going back and every body would learn about every thing.
